New regional egg packs in store
2nd October 2017
This autumn sees the launch of fresh new egg packs for our popular Yorkshire, Lancashire and Northumberland free range eggs.
The new pack designs introduce some of the local farmers who work in partnership with us to bring locally produced eggs to regional supermarket shelves.
Research shows that shoppers like to buy local wherever possible and our regional egg brands are all about promoting locally sourced produce in regional supermarkets in Yorkshire and the North East.
The new packs feature producer photographs and messaging to promote the fact that the eggs are from regional farms.
Our Yorkshire packs also have facts about our Bee Friendly Farm scheme which supports bumblebee conservation by planting bee habitat on poultry farms.
Look out for our regional egg packs which are on sale in Co-op and Morrisons stores in Northumberland, Lancashire and Yorkshire.
A £5m investment in new packing facilities and offices at our HQ in Flaxby back in 2013 has resulted in 30 per cent growth, a move that has played a crucial role in delivering more local produce to supermarket shelves.
As a result of that investment we have been able to provide a route to market for more regional poultry farmers across Yorkshire, Lancashire and Northumberland and have supported many others to become new free range egg producers.
The redesign of our local packs with clearer messaging about provenance and sustainability is the next step in supporting our farmers to sell more eggs regionally
