New bee friendly shelf packaging

30th September 2016

Our popular Bee Friendly Yorkshire eggs are now even easier to spot in store thanks to our new bee themed shelf packaging.

The roll out of the black and yellow striped design celebrates the fact that our Yorkshire branded free range eggs are now fully sourced from bee friendly farms in the region.

The bold design is intended to help raise awareness of our campaign to support the British bumblebee through the creation of pollen and nectar rich habitats at new and existing egg production sites.

We have also made some changes to the design of our egg boxes for the Yorkshire range to highlight the fact that the eggs inside have come from producers who are part of our Bee Friendly Farm Scheme.

The new packaging will highlight the link to consumers between Yorkshire eggs and bumblebee conservation.

There are now nine bee friendly egg producers in Yorkshire and the North East. Three years on from the launch of the project, those based in Yorkshire are producing enough eggs to supply our Yorkshire range exclusively with bee friendly eggs.

As the bee friendly project continues to flourish, we hope that more and more of our free range eggs nationwide can be sourced from Bee Friendly Farms.
