We’re best friends with bumblebees

17th April 2014

The British bumblebee population is in decline. We wanted to do something about it.

That’s because we’re good eggs and want to do all we can to help our little pollinators which in turn will help British crops grow.

Chippindale Foods is working with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust to create bee-friendly farms.

We already work with several nominated producers and farms, such as Crooked Dale Farm near Driffield,  R&J Farms near Market Weighton and  MJ Wilkinson near Thirsk, to make areas more appealing to bees

“In the last 100 years, the bumblebee population has severely declined and free range chicken farms provide the perfect opportunity for the creation of wildflower habitats to support local bees and other pollinators.

“We’re delighted Chippindale Foods has got on board to create a habitat fit for the bees and this partnership has helped us to further our  ambition on achieving countryside and communities rich in bumblebees and a diversity of wildlife for everyone to enjoy.”
