Our History

Chippindale Foods has evolved from small beginnings as a mixed family farm in 1930 to become the innovative modern food business it is today.

By developing strong partnerships with like-minded producers we have grown to become a well known and highly respected supplier of British free range eggs, committed to being good eggs and helping our nation enjoy eggs more.

In 2013 we opened a new £5m purpose-built, 55,000sq ft low carbon egg packing facility close to the A1 motorway in North Yorkshire. Here, we can handle more than six million eggs a week, and we supply retailers and food service outlets nationwide.

In February 2018 we were acquired by Morrisons, giving our producers a secure market for their eggs and protection from volatile markets. We now handle more than 350 million shell eggs for Morrisons in our packing centre and have a growing liquid egg wholesale business which supplies food manufacturers with high quality free range egg ingredients.
